Prosecco with a Twist
No longer known as the poor man’s champagne, Prosecco has found its own devoted following. Created from predominately Prosecco grapes in the northern Veneto region of Italy, the Italian sparkling wine is a wonderfully fresh and dry bubbly.
It’s the perfect base for many cocktails, the most famous being the Bellini, made with 1 part white peach puree and 3 parts Prosecco. In Lazy Hostess style, a self-service Prosecco bar at your next house party is a fun way for guests to custom blend their own drinks. On your bar display bottles of Prosecco on ice with a selection of delicious mixers and original garnishes.
The September/October 2007 issue of Blueprint magazine has 3 great recipes for mixers that you can whip up in small pitchers before your guests arrive.
