Go Nuts
While the founders may have come up with the idea for Sahale Snacks while climbing Mt. Rainer in Washington State, I much prefer to serve their fancy trail mix at another type of endurance event – the late-night party!
With six different gourmet flavors to choose from including spicy Ksar (pistachios with sesame seeds, pepitas, fig and Moroccan harissa) and savory yet sweet Soledad (almonds with apple, flax seeds, date, balsamic vinegar and red peppers – shown on right), these colorful snacks made wonderful accompaniments to chilled vodka and gin martinis.
Place a few bowls of the spiced nuts on coffee and end tables – wherever your guests congregate. Just don’t be surprised if all of this natural, healthy energy food keeps your party going until the wee hours of the morning!
Sahale Snacks are available at Whole Foods and online where a case of six 5-ounce resealable foil pouches is around $25.
