20 oz peeled pear
Bring to a boil and simmer until pears are cooked through, then strain.

INSIDER NOTES
This cocktail, created by Managing Partner Peter Kane, features the gold medal winning sake-vodka named Wokka. While sake and ginger are a natural pairing, the addition of the pear to this martini was spontaneous. One night Kane noticed that the pastry chef had leftover liquid from the poaching of a vanilla pear dessert so he used it in his recipe. While the dessert is no longer on the menu, the kitchen still poaches the pears for this tasty and popular cocktail.

The Stanton Social (99 Stanton Street, 212-995-0099) on NYC’s Lower East Side serves up a menu of multi-ethnic shared plates and is known for its late-night dining and innovative libations. Three uniquely designed floors makes this a great choice for group dining and private events.
