All We Make is Chocolate Cake
Move over Magnolia. Bye, bye Buttercup. The girls of Caked have arrived.
Armed with a secret recipe passed down from “an aunt’s grandmother’s friend who lived on the coast of Maine,” co-founders Rebecca Ketchum and Anne Heelan have declared, “all we make is chocolate cake.”
Caked may be a one trick pony but they deserve a blue ribbon for baking an unbelievably rich, moist and delicious, handmade cake.
Frosted with either chocolate or vanilla butter-cream, Caked offers 6″, 9″ or 12″ cakes with your choice of 2, 3 or 4 layers. Prices range from $20 to $85. Cupcakes are $3 each or $30 per dozen. Mini-cupcakes are $1.50 each or $15 per dozen.
Delivery within New York City is free of charge. Order at least 24 hours in advance by calling 207-653-3211 or by emailing cakedcakes@gmail.com. For now, it’s cash only.

The first time I had this cake was at my sister-in-law’s home. She hand wrote the recipe for me on a piece of green note paper. Aged and worn and now memorized the recipe is the family favorite. CAKED is perfect.
