Tools for Living

Design aficionados rejoice! Your favorite furniture studio, Design Within Reach, has spawned a new outpost called Tools for Living, which features beautifully crafted yet totally functional everyday items for cooking, entertaining, traveling and, well…just living.

Favorite items include the stunning (and sustainable) dinnerware set from the Adónde Collection (featured right) crafted from natural stoneware or FSC-certified jatoba wood. The assortment of cylinders cleverly stack together for various compositions and usage.

The DWR: Tools for Living store opens on Friday, September 19th at 142 Wooster Street, New York (in a 3,500 square foot space that was once a DWR studio). A second TFL store, which will be housed within the existing DWR studio on 332 Santa Monica Boulevard, California, will launch on Thursday, October 2nd.

And, unlike the DWR showrooms that feature furniture for future delivery, all TFL stores will be cash and carry. Those in need of an aesthetically pleasing cheese plane or sleek bottle opener will now be able to get instant design gratification.
