Toasting Summer with VeeV
Taste. Test. Tally.
Those were the (well received) instructions on our invitation to, “An Evening of Eco-Friendly Cocktails with VeeV Acai Spirit,” an exclusive cocktail tasting we co-hosted with Delicatessen restaurant last week.
To kick off the summer season in style, readers of Notes on a Party and VIP customers of Delicatessen were invited to participate in a fun, interactive event by sampling four original cocktail recipes by VeeV and selecting their favorite drink of the night.
Notable guests, including reality TV personality and style author, Kelly Bensimon and VeeV co-founder Courtney Reum, enjoyed cocktails such as the Brazilian Elixir and Toast of the Antioxidants as well as savory items from Deli’s new seasonal menu.
The winning cocktail, Joie de VeeV, a ginger-infused concoction made with a dash of orange liqueur, lemon juice and crystallized ginger garnish, will be featured as the signature drink on Deli’s menu for the month of June.
To thank guests for their expert imbibing, their completed ballots were entered into the eco-luxe raffle which included prizes such as a VeeV Summer Gift Basket; Slate NYC gift card for eco-dry cleaning; a collection of Stirrings Organic mixers; and, a JadeTribe bracelet with silver OM charm.
But, all the guests left as winners with a gift bag, that was fondly dubbed by Deli’s Brandi Anderson as “eco-party in a bag,” filled with a mini of VeeV, a bag of PopChips, compostable plates by VerTerra and a copy of “Deli’s Hot Summer Hits,” a compiliation mix by DJ Mode who spun lively tracks at the event all night long.
