Double Crown Tea

Double Crown Afternoon TeaAfternoon tea at the cool Bowery restaurant, Double Crown, is a little more rock and roll than Victorian lady.  While it keeps the long standing British tradition of delicate tea sandwiches and scones with clotted cream, the tea can be served in three different ways: hot, iced and boozy.

Made with Beefeater Gin, Double Crown offers 3 original recipes of boozy tea including Chamomile with rhubarb and lemongrass, Peppermint with cucumber and elderflower as well as Earl Grey with elderflower and Beefeater24.

Tea sandwiches include smoked salmon, coronation chicken and streaky ham ($16 per person with tea / $20 per person with boozy tea).  While the Devonshire Tea features a selection of scones, clotted cream, homemade preserves and spiced coffee cake ($10 per person with tea / $15 per person with boozy tea).

The menu also offers a selection of oysters with Malaysian mignonette, a “pint of prawns,” and a cheese plate.

Afternoon tea is available on Saturdays and Sundays from 3:30PM to 5:30 PM.
