Tapas To Go

Inspired by the fresh food of Barcelona’s most famous market, Yann de Rochefort and partner Chef Seamus Mullen opened Boqueria, their widely popular Spanish restaurants in New York in both Soho and the Flatiron District. Now they are now offering their tapas to go with the launch of a new off-site catering service.
“The convivial atmosphere of the tapas bars translates perfectly to catering all kinds of events from garden parties to cocktail receptions to intimate dinners,” says de Rochefort. “We recommend serving a selection of small bites, large dishes of paella, creative Sangrias and Spanish wines.”
Some favorite tapas dishes include the Pimientos de Padrón (blistered Shishito peppers with coarse sea salt) and Pintxos Morunos (seared lamb marinated in lemon and cumin with salsa verde).
For buffet style parties, order the Paella Valenciana (Bomba rice, prawns, mussels, clams, cockles, chorizo and chicken) and, a specialty of the restaurant, the Cochinillo Lechal (slow roasted, milk-fed suckling pig, served with patatas bravas) which is presented whole and sliced on site by the chef.
As for the bar, Boqueria can bring in a great selection of beer or wine as well as sangria. They have an extensive menu of red, white and rose sangrias with a few notable seasonal recipes including their Vanilla Peach Sangria which is made with house infused vanilla vodka, citrus juices, brown sugar, macerated peaches and cava.
For a 3 hour event, prices start at $35 per person for passed tapas and $45 per person for stationary. Seated dinners typically start at $50 per person for appetizer, main course and dessert. For office events or photo shoots, drop-off catering is also available.
