Xooro! Spanish Fried Sweetness

If you’ve grown weary of the cupcake and think donuts are déclassé, there is a new sweet treat in town that might just catch your eye. A popular Spanish dessert, the deep fried fritter has been reinvented by Xooro (pronounced, sure-oh!) in a wide variety of flavors from the more traditional Dulce de Leche to wild new ones like Maple Bacon and Turkish Hazelnut.
Each fritter is made fresh to order and fried in rice bran oil (considered the healthiest of oils) that allows the pastry to be light and crispy on the outside with a warm filling on the inside.
Although Xooro has yet to reach the East Coast, you can find the tasty churros at retail locations in Santa Monica and West Hollywood with new outposts coming to Los Angeles, San Diego and Orlando.
